Queen Creek Fire Station Visit

Today we went and visited a Fire station in Queen Creek, with my moms group. The kids had a lot of fun. We got to see the Fire truck and sit inside the fire truck. We also were able to see where the firemen sleep and eat. The kids thought it was really neat. We also got to see what they look like when they wear the full firemen outfit. Instead of the firemen wearing it, they asked a mom volunteer to wear it. Of course I said, "sure I will do it." What was I thinking? What happened next, I never would have thought. Addalade freaked out and was hanging onto Aunt Clare, as if she was terrified. She never stopped crying until after we walked around inside the fire house and even then it was clinging to me and crying on and off the whole time. I may have traumatized her for life. All in all by the time we left the Fire house, Addalade had calmed down a little. The whole way home she would say, "Is that mom?" Or "It looks like mommy." Poor kid. I hope we don't have a fire at our house or anyone we know, she might not go to a firemen again. Or she may marry one someday and we can look back on it and laugh and blow that picture up of her crying.
